Providing clean water for displaced people 04-09-2025

Providing clean water for displaced people

On September 4, 2025, AID FOR GAZA continued its humanitarian efforts by distributing clean drinking water to displaced families in Al-Zawaida, located in the central Gaza Strip.

At that time, Al-Zawaida had become one of the areas crowded with makeshift displacement camps, where thousands of people were living in extremely harsh conditions after being forced to flee their homes. Families were sheltering in tents and temporary structures without the most basic services. Among the most urgent challenges they faced was the severe shortage of safe drinking water.

For many displaced families, obtaining clean water had become a daily struggle. Long days passed under the heat with limited resources, while children, the elderly, and the sick were particularly vulnerable to dehydration and illness. In these conditions, access to something as simple as a container of clean water became essential for survival.

Through this initiative, AID FOR GAZA sought to bring relief to displaced families by providing potable water and easing a small part of their daily hardship. While the assistance may seem simple, for families enduring displacement, uncertainty, and deprivation, it represented a vital lifeline and a reminder that they were not alone in their struggle. 💧🤍
