On 10-9-2025, residents of Melilla collaborated with AID FOR GAZA to carry out a food distribution campaign for displaced families who were forced to flee from northern Gaza to the central areas of the Strip because of the war and continuous bombardment.

During that time, displaced families were living through one of the harshest humanitarian crises, facing severe famine and a critical shortage of food and basic resources. Thousands of families found themselves living in displacement tents without sufficient food or safe living conditions, while children and the elderly suffered daily from hunger, exhaustion, and extremely difficult circumstances.

This humanitarian initiative represented a true message of solidarity from the people of Melilla to the people of Gaza and helped ease the suffering of exhausted families searching for even a single meal to survive amid conditions beyond human endurance.
