Amid the severe humanitarian conditions affecting the Gaza Strip, SONRISAS EN ACCIÓN, in partnership with AID FOR GAZA, carried out a food distribution campaign for displaced families in the Al-Zawaida area in central Gaza, on September 20.

This initiative comes during one of the harshest periods of famine the region has experienced, following large waves of displacement from northern Gaza toward the central areas, resulting in extreme humanitarian pressure and a severe shortage of food and basic resources.

Displaced families are living in tragic conditions, with many lacking even the most basic necessities of life. Children and the elderly are especially at risk of hunger and malnutrition amid the ongoing humanitarian crisis.

This campaign has helped alleviate the suffering of hundreds of families and delivered a clear message: human solidarity can make a difference, even if small, in the most difficult circumstances, and that hope still exists despite the harshness of reality.
