During the Famine… Food Aid Reaches Families Displaced from Northern Gaza to the South
On October 1, 2025, AID FOR GAZA, with support from the city of MELILLA, carried out a humanitarian campaign to distribute food to families displaced from northern Gaza to the southern areas of the Gaza Strip amid famine and catastrophic humanitarian conditions caused by the ongoing war and mass displacement.
Thousands of families were forced to flee their homes and move south in search of safety, only to face extremely harsh living conditions marked by severe shortages of food, water, and basic necessities, as shelters and temporary camps became overcrowded.
This campaign came at a time when displaced people were suffering from unprecedented levels of hunger and malnutrition, especially among children and the elderly, due to the severe lack of humanitarian aid and the difficulty of delivering food supplies into Gaza.
The initiative helped ease the suffering of hundreds of families by providing urgent food meals to displaced people and offering them a sense of solidarity and hope during one of the most difficult periods the Gaza Strip has endured.
AID FOR GAZA and its partners reaffirm their commitment to continuing humanitarian efforts to support affected families and deliver assistance to as many people in need as possible despite the enormous humanitarian challenges.
