So that they do not go to sleep hungry
On September 5, 2025, AID FOR GAZA established a charitable community kitchen to prepare and distribute cooked meals to displaced families in the camps located in Al-Zawaida, in the central Gaza Strip.
During that period, the area had become a refuge for a rapidly growing number of displaced people who had been forced to flee from northern Gaza due to the ongoing and devastating war. With every passing day, more families arrived seeking safety, setting up tents and makeshift shelters in an area that lacked even the most basic services. Food, water, and essential supplies were becoming increasingly scarce.
At the same time, the first signs of famine were beginning to appear. Many families were struggling to find even a single daily meal, and hunger was gradually reaching every tent and every household in the displacement camps.
In response to this urgent need, AID FOR GAZA launched this charitable kitchen to cook and distribute rice meals to displaced families, providing them with a simple but vital source of nourishment. For many people in the camps, this meal represented more than food—it was a moment of relief in the midst of hardship and uncertainty.
Through this initiative, the organization aimed to support displaced families and stand beside them during the early days of the famine, offering what assistance was possible in a place where the needs were immense and the resources extremely limited. 🍚🤍
